Running a web forum - help needed

I have inherited an online discussion forum, and want to keep it going although it is beyond my skill set. I need someone to do the technical stuff (linux + vanilla open source software) and advise on hosting solutions.

It needs some initial work to get it sorted out (hasn't been actively administered for many months) and then a bit of ongoing maintenance (which will be minimal).
