DKH school is holding a number of open mornings for potential new nursery & reception starters next September. Come and look round our lovely school, meet some of the staff, children and parents!

There will also be a chance to see our new onsite Forest school, funded by the friends, a fantastic new resource for the school.

I believe there are still spaces on some of the open mornings for Dog Kennel Hill. Do come along and check it out, it is such a lovely local community school.

I personally have had 2 children at the school, my eldest has just moved off to secondary and I have a son in year 4! We especially love the music provision (provided my the wonderful Margaret Omoniyi and her team), brass bands, steel pans, choir, samba drumming and lots of individual lessons available.

Also do check out the school?s new onsite Forest School (funded by the Friends of DKH),

    • It feels like it might be an extension of the summer water bombing spate. The sad thing is this could really put off some visiting the park. I really hope the council seriously consider putting some of their huge parking surplus to funding a serious and permanent warden and police presence in the park; it is needed.
    • So glad the kids that threatened your dog were spoken to. Also good to know police aware of fireworks. I heard some going off again this evening, well before dusk, so they need to get on top of this or with it getting dark earlier it may get a lot worse.

    • To put this over dramatic and somewhat gleeful post in context, the policy has not "failed at first hurdle." "It is just a temporary decision. The judge granted a pause of at least 14 days so the man, who is not being named for legal reasons and arrived in the UK on a small boat last month, could provide evidence of his claim that he has been a victim of modern day slavery." from BBC website
