The Goose Green School Community Choir is opening up to new members from the local community. You don't need to have a child at the school - just be interested in joining a choir and free on a Tuesday evening!

We are a friendly choir with bags of enthusaisam - not many of us have musical or singing experience so if you are interested in joining but you haven't sung much before don't worry! You'll fit right in!

We meet on Tuesday evenings at Goose Green School from 6:30-7:30pm. We sing a mix of folk, pop arrangements and world music. We have a musical director - Dan Maitland - who leads us.

Fees: Sliding Scale - ?20 or ?12 (low income) per 6 week half-term

We perform at school events like the summer carnival/fair and the Christmas carol service. We have alot of fun singing and although many of us started off feeling self-conscious, we soon got over that as the group is very supportive and friendly.

If you are interested, send me a private message and I'll give you the details of where in the school we meet etc. etc.

Just a note to say the choir is starting up again on Tuesday after the half-term break - we are working on the Sweet Honey in the Rock tune 'Breaths', California Dreamin; and a gospel version of Stand By Me. If you would like to come along, just send me a message so I can tell you where to go!

Hello again!

The new term for the choir starts on Tuesday 10th September, 6:30pm. If you would like to join a friendly and relaxed community choir, we'd love to have you! Many of us have no prior singing experience but we have great fun. Our talented musical director Dan Maitland leads us and does arrangements of favourite pop songs for us. Please email me - the choir secretary - at [email protected] if you are interested or PM me. Thanks!

    • Can someone please explain who "one Dulwich" are?
    • We are actually referred to as "Supporters"...2,100 of us across Dulwich...read and weep! 😉   https://www.onedulwich.uk/supporters   Got it, the one where 64% of respondents in the consultation area said they wanted the measures "returned to their original state". Is that the one you claim had a yes/no response question?   Well I suggest you read up on it as it is an important part of the story of utter mismangement by the councils and this is why so many of us can't work out who is pulling the council's strings on this one because surely you can agree that if the emergency services were knocking on your door for months and months telling you the blocks in the roads were delayihg response times and putting lives at risk you'd do something about it? Pretty negligent not to do so don't you think - if I was a councillor it would not sit well with me?   Careful it could be a Mrs, Miss or Mx One.....   Of course you don't that's because you have strong opinions but hate being asked for detail to.back-up those opinions (especially when it doesn't serve their narrative) and exposes the flaws in your arguments! 😉  As so many of the pro-LTN lobby find to their cost the devil is always in the detail.....
    • Really?  I'm sorry to hear that. What did you order?
