Not sure if anyone else has noticed, or whether I am unaware of some grand change in ownership but what has happened to the service and food in Liquorish over the last few months??? We frequent there on a pretty regular basis (at least once a week, does that constitute regular??) and the staff have been, in the past few years, friendly, attentive and the service great. The last few attempts to eat / snack in there have proved disasterous. There are a few v surly bar staff who, frankly, need a kick up the backside and short lesson in customer service. I am gutted. I LOVE this place but if it carries on at this rate I may just explode with rage the next I go there based on recent performances.

The guy who used to own or at least run it doesn't seem to be around either.. :(:(

Is it just me or anyone else noticed a change?? (it could well be me...)

I agree with Joe. I like dinner too. I went there back in Jan under recommendation and the burgers were fantastic. The meat quality was much better then their neighbouring establishment! However the service was somewhat surly and noisy to boot! However I do think as a 'non-chain' bespoke watering-hole we should be patient and see what results Karter's Neighbourly Collective produce.

    • So are you saying that smoking these awful vape things are not harmful to someone’s health Alan? I think Sue’s reply to my question explains about how vapes are addictive and also contain very high amounts of nicotine which is the main culprit for smoking related deaths?   Can someone tell me how much a vape thing  costs?
    • I'm down about 50% in numbers and more in species since three years ago.  Not sure if it is the weather, continual building works, the quality of my feed or the pigeons and parakeets putting off others.  Good conversation on Winterwatch on feeding tonight, including issues with spreading disease. Three years ago, likely to see long tailed tits, dunnocks, song thrushes, corvids, wood pigeons. black birds, black caps. Possibles - redwings. Unlikely to see any this weekend, only blue and great tits, robin, goldfinches, bloody feral pigeons.
    • Thanks for the information about the wildlife group. I didn't know about that. And thanks to Sue for the links.
    • I got mine through the post with their mag  (I'm a member) but if you haven't signed up yet, you can download a printable guide from the RSPB website (you need to scroll down quite a way). https://www.rspb.org.uk/whats-happening/big-garden-birdwatch
