For London - employee they list:

Employment: Employee: London

Band 1 Slater & Gordon Lawyers

Band 2 Bindmans LLP, Leigh Day & Co

Band 3 Ferguson Solicitors LLP, Pattinson & Brewer, Simpson Millar LLP, Stewarts Law LLP

Bindmans, Leigh Day & Co, and Pattinson & Brewer are all firms with strong reputations that I know as a non-practising solicitor. Bindmans represented a colleague of mine in an employment matter in the past. Both Bindmans & Leigh Day and Co do a lot of human rights work. You can see more info, peer reviews and contact details at Chambers & Partyners website (http://www.chambersandpartners.com/uk/Editorial/72761).

Elizabeth Lang, Bird and Bird. Have referred a lot of people to her, inc family members. She is excellent.

She is a senior partner so expensive but she has a team of people she supervises some of whom will be more affordable.

Pm me if you want details of the friends/family I've sent her way.

    • Hi, does anyone have their up to date number please?
    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.  If we were in Somerset and had a press, I'd consider it. Can't be that diffcult, can it?
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
