Victorian Bedside Table Cabinet ?75

Painted bedside cabinet (Earthborn Eco paint).

I think it is a Victorian chamber-pot cupboard.

Queen Anne-style legs with pad feet and attractive curvy detailing.

It is in good condition but the top is a bit rough in patches as seen in the photo. Also, you can see a join on the top. It is painted inside - but not on the top of the inside, although you would never see that bit.

It is solid, heavy and of a substantial size - larger than most bedside tables - so plenty of space for lamp, water, phone etc..

Height 77cm

Width 43.5cm

Depth 41cm

It is solid wood throughout.

I've had this for 15 years and am very attached it, especially as I have not seen any like it. But I am moving and cannot take it with me. Hopefully I can find it a new loving home.

    • Well unless the heron got them later, there were the  two cootlets. I think some others of this year's babies must have escaped the heron. Many years ago (and possibly still, though I never see them any more) there was a whole heron family on the island  - mum, dad and youngster. I don't know how long herons live. Maybe this one is the grown up youngster.
    • Neighbourhood police, they often get called in for neighbourhood 'disputes', although if you have been Southwark ASBU perhaps you have already explored this
    • I live alone, with all my family abroad. I'm grateful for the support I've received from the Southwark ASBU Team and now also from the comments here
    • Hi- just wanted to say that Clare did  has been working with us on quite a big replanting design in our garden in Peckham. We spoke to a couple of garden designers about the planting plan before going ahead with Clare . I felt she understood exactly what I wanted (even  if I couldn't fully articulate it- I am still very much learning), and was happy to work in stages on our large garden- which has allowed me to learn how to manage the garden as go along. Her designs are beautiful and she's kept an ongoing and up to date  list of  plants as we've sourced them from various places. Clare planted  a lot over the spring- and the garden is already looking brilliant. Totally transformed from a few months ago. I would really recommend her !
