Tried Tai Chi but found it too complicated?

Qi Gong is SO much easier: you just follow the teacher. Involving simple stretches, deep breathing and guided meditation you get all the 'mindfulness in motion' benefits of Tai Chi without having to learn a complicated sequence of movements.

I've started weekly Qi Gong classes at:

The Green Community Centre, Nunhead (next to the Old Nun?s Head pub), 5 Nunhead Green, SE15 3QQ.

7.30-8.30pm on Tuesday evenings.

Only ?5 per class.

Suitable for adults of all ages and genders. LGBT friendly. One of the aims of Qi Gong is to cultivate a sense of connection and community. If there is enough interest we can go for a drink in the nextdoor pub after the class.

If you would like to join us, or if you have questions please message or email me (contact details below)

I have been along to Stephen?s Qi Gong classes a couple of times and am hooked. It?s a wonderful simple balance of breathing, movement into different poses which stretches out your whole body and helps move energy around and relax your mind. At the end of the session a lovely silent meditation lying down at the end, which Stephen?s guides us through, which is really relaxing for body mind and soul. Didn?t want to open my eyes last night as so relaxed. Highly recommend for everyone and all ages. Thanks Stephen!

    • Called Tessa Jowell GP Surgery today after failing to get two repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy.  When I asked the pharmacy, I was told that they had been requested but not sent by the surgery.  After speaking to the surgery I was told that those two items were no longer on my repeat prescriptions.  I was told I would need a prescription review. Earliest date would be the 22 September.  That is utterly ridiculous.  Surely someone from the surgery should have contacted me to tell me this after requesting the repeat prescriptions two weeks ago.    Also, apparently, there is no point sending an email regarding prescriptions as they are not actioned nor replied to as I have discovered.
    • Erm... guessing it's like any service... so you can receive/be part of something relevant to you in the area where you happen to reside. You don't have to sign up but you might miss out on an excellent Tesco offer or two. 🤷‍♀️
    • https://www.stanthonysprimary.co.uk/parents/admissions/admissions-1 Both my children went to St Anthony's and I feel it is a wonderful school... very inclusive of all faiths (they learn about all religions even though it's a Catholic school) and nurturing with great pastoral care and teaching. it's a real community of families and school staff and I was very sad when my youngest left for secondary this year.
    • happy to buy, but would rather not buy a new one as only need it for a very short time (Hallowe'en). Please let me know if you have one in your cupboard that you don't use.
