Where is Moonstoneheart (Janet?)? Having agreed a price and collection with a van this afternoon from Bromley (30 minutes drive not 15 minutes as suggested) she was not in!! I even mailed her this morning with my phone number to say I would be there at 5.30 pm.

What a waste of my time, not to mention the cost!

If anyone is thinking of trading with Moonstoneheart (Janet) in the future, think again!

... and sometimes a public clip round the ear is the only alternative when personal communication has failed.

That's very annoying, but anything could have happened.

I have learned from past experience always to get a seller's mobile number and confirm by phone or text before setting off that they will be in.

Did she actually reply to your email confirming the time etc?

I have used his services on several occasions now and I am always impressed by 1) the speed of his response,  2) his honest pricing,  3) the quality of his interventions.  I had a washing machine crisis the other day where my old appliance started leaking badly and into the flat below.  Aria can within an hour of my call and sorted the whole thing immediately.  Impressive! Highly recommended!    Posted Thursday at 17:56 a. • Capita (always spelt in Private Eye as Crapita) has a record of failure in its management of public contracts that goes back decades. Yet they continue to get more government business and have our money lavished on them. Private profit trumps public service every time.
    • Perhaps the robbers pulled over for a Magnum? A 25-year old Ferrari is probably worth a lot less than many newer cars on the streets locally (£40k-ish, I’m guessing?). I notice the tax is up in a fortnight.
