cactus
I volunteer for Re-engage (formerly Contact the Elderly) and I'm on the lookout for a Sunday afternoon venue where we could host a Christmas Tea party fora group of elderly guests.Previously they've hired community centres/ meeting spaces with kitchen facilities etc, butit sounds like those venues are no longer available.I would be really grateful for any ideas. Sue
You could try the cricket club just past the entrance to the woods opposite the old Grove Tavern? They have a good sized club room with toilets and I believe a kitchen though I'm not sure about the kitchen.Nice friendly people running it (last time I was there anyway!) and it's convenient for buses.
