Roofer recommendation- Russell Perring

Hello all,

Just wanted to give a huge recommendation to Russell Perring from RJP roofing. He is extremely professional, trustworthy and has done an excellent job on fixing our roof - to ensure it no longer leaks. He also replaced the down pipe and fitted a new slate roof on our bay window. Although he was the more expensive of the 3 quotes we got, I would say its worth every penny. What the other roofers were proposing to do, didn't make sense and seemed to cut corners. With Russell you can be assured the job will be done properly saving you money in the long run. He also provides a 10 year guarantee for his work.

Thanks to ED forum users for recommending him!

Cheers,

Annie

I would like to add a recommendation for Russell. We've used him 3 times for different things on our roof & chimneys (big old Victorian). Good quotes & really flexible. Last visit he did us a favour for free (we would have been happy to pay) because we had used him a few times before. Excellent, honest tradesman.

I would also like to add that Russell mended my guttering and fascia this month. Stupidly I'd got somebody from one of the free magazine but realised they were doing a bad job so found Russell from this website and couldn't be happier about the work he did, certainly would recommend him to anybody else looking for similar work.

I can also highly recommend Russell.

Competent, reliable, helpful and reasonably priced.

Did an excellent job in replacing my collapsing bay roof.

Happily gave me a list of recent local similar jobs he'd done for me to go and look at before I booked him, and explained exactly what he was doing at every stage.

    • To be honest, pal, it's not good being a fan of a local business and then not go there. One on hand, the barber shop literally next door to Romeo Jones started serving coffee. The Crown and Greyhound and Rocca serve coffee. Redemption Coffee opened up not far away, and then also Megan's next door to that. DVillage was serving coffee (but wasn't very popular), as was Au Ciel (which is). Maybe also Heritage Cheese, I don't know. There's also Flotsam and Jetsam doing coffee and sandwiches at Dulwich Picture Gallery in the other direction. The whole of Dulwich Village serves coffee. And yet on the other hand, there are enough punters to support all good coffee shops. With the exception of Rocca and Megan's (which are both big spaces) and C&G (which does coffee like everything else - slow and with bad service), all these places regularly get queues out the door. Gail's often has big queues and yet very few people crossed the street to Romeo Jones (which was much better)... Half the staff at Gail's are perfectly fine and efficient. The other half are pretty offhand and rude. It's certainly not welcoming or friendly service. But they're certainly hard working, and no doubt raking the money in for Luke Johnson...
    • Well according to a newspaper article, Gail’s is opening 10 shops in London,,, yup Dulwich is named 10/5 I seem to recall with others in London opening at 7 am…!, Guess that is to capture workers coming off all night shift. Offering free mince pies until they run out.. So very sad to hear about Romeo Jones… been a customer since the opening, any idea where Patrick has gone or details… please pm me.    What is going to be in its place…. Will be around in Jan…umm village is changing….
    • interesting the police said "the car was in demand at the moment" what make/model is that?
    • Just be careful to know exactly what they cover and the limits. i use Many Pets and Medivet, as I think one of the vets is exceptionally good. Some of the NHV are, but I’ve had a couple I’ve not liked at all.  I need consistency and to feel that they actually care more about the animals than the money.
