I got breakfast in bed, chocolates and flowers, lovely. And then spent the rest of the morning putting on multiple loads of washing, ironing school uniforms, hanging washing to dry, hoovering and now looking after 3 kids while hubby goes on an 18 mile marathon training run. Yep, I'm definitely a Mother.
One daughter forgot - just a phone call to say sorry but forgot ( not worried as her mother in law died recently and had her funeral on Friday so understand it slipped her mind). Other daughter addressed her card as 'Mum' and was going to give it to me yesterday at a family lunch, which had to be cancelled due to her sister's M in L death, and will now be making a fleeting visit next Sunday from Sussex.

Lovely breakfast and florals sorted by infants (and their Dad, I suspect, as they're 3 and 1...). Baby then sat on my pillow and her nappy leaked. Poo. Everywhere. Now I am at work, but plan to duck out early to go home and go to sleep.

I left the 4 loads of washing to my husband, he'll be SO PLEASED.

A lie in with my book (bliss), breakfast in bed (bacon sarnie & cuppa tea), tulips, chocs, and handmade cards from 2 out of the 4. PLus, a lovely lunch down at Dulwich Tandoori Buffet - brilliant, I can't believe we've never been. Highly recommend. Very lovely Mother day. Thanks my Gang:D

    • Well I did say I stand to be corrected! Fair enough, their website only seemed to list three branches. Perhaps it's a franchise model?  It's known as 'agglomeration' in economics Rookie error.
    • I didn't know there was a word for that — thanks!
    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
    • Hello, Does this lovely little panther have a name? & Is he neutered & microchipped?
