Fuschia
I got a lie in, followed by 4 children leaping on me with cards and posies. It all went well for about 2 minutes then a scuffle broke out on the bed. For some reason the little one was dripping wet. Smiler
Aaah, have a loveky day. I had tulips, chocolate granola in bed with two "helpers" helping me to eat it, and a card saying "happy mud die"! Pickle
I got breakfast in bed, chocolates and flowers, lovely. And then spent the rest of the morning putting on multiple loads of washing, ironing school uniforms, hanging washing to dry, hoovering and now looking after 3 kids while hubby goes on an 18 mile marathon training run. Yep, I'm definitely a Mother. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/29956-happy-mothers-day/#findComment-623627 Share on other sites

oimissus
I got Game of Thrones season 2. Not your traditional Mother's Day gift, I grant you, but I'm dead chuffed. I also spent all morning being completely confused about the time as my calender (which I now realize is American) told me daylight saving starts today. Pugwash
One daughter forgot - just a phone call to say sorry but forgot ( not worried as her mother in law died recently and had her funeral on Friday so understand it slipped her mind). Other daughter addressed her card as 'Mum' and was going to give it to me yesterday at a family lunch, which had to be cancelled due to her sister's M in L death, and will now be making a fleeting visit next Sunday from Sussex. bishop
Lovely breakfast and florals sorted by infants (and their Dad, I suspect, as they're 3 and 1...). Baby then sat on my pillow and her nappy leaked. Poo. Everywhere. Now I am at work, but plan to duck out early to go home and go to sleep.I left the 4 loads of washing to my husband, he'll be SO PLEASED. sillywoman
A lie in with my book (bliss), breakfast in bed (bacon sarnie & cuppa tea), tulips, chocs, and handmade cards from 2 out of the 4. PLus, a lovely lunch down at Dulwich Tandoori Buffet - brilliant, I can't believe we've never been. Highly recommend. Very lovely Mother day.
