Ok ? I accept it happens then.

I?ve cycled that junction for 15 years and can?t recall it happening as it?s a silly junction to do it on. There is too much going on. To say it happens all the time is an exaggeration.

As for cycling without lights, I?m a motorist too. Cycling without lights is stupidly dangerous. To do that you have to be basically thick. Anyone who does is putting themselves in real danger for no reason. Many people are morons. Some of them are cyclists. The bane of my ride home from the City is boneheaded, drunk pedestrians.

You need to re-title the thread to some derogatory comment about cyclists, I thought looking at the title it may be something of use/interest, rather than a reason for many of you to go on about your prejudices. Good that some have brought in some balance.

PS Shaggy and others, you cannot have a proper conversation if you resort to terms such as thick, morons etc. Although that could apply to some pedestrians of course......

Last night some thick bastard was driving along the road without any lights on and almost caused an accident. I noticed and yelled about the lights, and then I switched on them and everything was fine.

It wasn't on Crystal Palace Rd tho, sorry.

As loads of posts have commented, there's no comparison between the damage of a human in a vehicle and a human on a bicycle or walking. Humans driving vehicles are a huge part of the destruction of the planet

    • What is it that makes Waitrose so special! Admittedly I have shopped a couple of times in the Orpington and Beckenham one - sometimes buying food which I cannot get else where. Their 'basic range' is not bad. Price for price and quality - M & S.
    • Sometimes a shed or other installation has to have written approval from the freeholder i.e. Southwark, Southwark has (or did have) a Leaseholder Association.   Could also come under Anti Social Behaviour Unit.
    • Love Dulwich is great but has a large step in front. We have only been weekdays at Lunch time. Maria's next to Picture House is disabled friendly. Also can reserve table in advance. We did a Sunday lunch catch up with family - there were 8 of us.
    • Hi, Thinking about  going with some friends and was just wondering if folk might like to report back please. Most importantly sound level when busy & is it disabled friendly.  Thinking on a Sunday lunchtime but don’t want a busy busy environment or loud chatter - a couple of friends could not cope. Time can be flexible, if that helps - say 2 ish to avoid above.. Thanks…
