I've just had an email telling me that I've been left $10,500,000 by someone I don't know and all I have to do is reply to the email with some personal details to prove who I am and where the money should be deposited before arranging collection.

This sounds fantastic. I've never gambled or done the lottery so I'm really chuffed my good fortune came eventually (albeit squashing my efforts to get rich through my own sweat).

Before I complete the personal details form and send it off for assured unfathomable riches, I thought it'd be nice to see who on EDF has a scheme / project that needs help / cashly support.

One that springs to mind is the Goose Green fair needs a stage for performers, this would look great with 'Donated by KidKruger, a really generous kid' emblazoned across the front.

A large flat top truck with 40,000 speaker stacks for S&R perhaps ?

Any other deserving causes ? Please let me know because I'm loathe to hold onto all this cash when I'm sure there's a community brimming with ideas/projects just crying-out for that little financial push.

Please let me know..

Well done KK. I'm sure it's genuine; not a scam at all, so please send off your bank details with haste. I would like a new frock. Is that OK? I have expensive taste but that shouldn't be a problem now that you're minted. Alternatively, you can have hours of fun here

GG - I'm sure it's genuine, it just feels right, so no need for the scam site links. But Thanks. So get yer frock tried-on and let me know who to pay. A photo for forum might be nice.

Red - brilliant idea, perhaps ED should have some other animal - your choice. Just let me know. However no bronze. Look what happened to the Hepburn in Dulwich park !

The 'mock' waitrose sounds good, solid product lines and will be fun seeing the dissapointment on propsective customers' faces, however I do feel guilty using my new-found wealth to tease people, I', trying to do something for the community not just the mickey-takers - so I'm afraid this one's in the Maybe pile.

Red - yes I think some kind of statement building is in order. Dawsons heights though, are you sure ? i don't have a better suggestion, so you've got the pointy roof and some extra terracing around the base of the (now) tower. Fairly modest though, like 20 floors. It's now called Kruger's Kliff.

Mick Mac - we must live different lifestyles, I'm sure I could retire on $10,500,000 (IF I wasn't busy providing support for ED's ideas/projects) !!

    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
    • I would also like to add my recommendation for James.  I had taken four names of electricians from the forum - in the order I had read the reviews.  First three no response - even days later. I phoned James this morning. He answered, gave me a time, stuck to it, messaged again 15 mins before arrival.  He fixed my problem on the spot.  Sensible charge out fee. Perfect service.
    • Most recent polls for the next election suggest it will be a hung parliament, with Reform the largest party by a fair margin. But that is predicated on Reform finding around 300 candidates who are actually electable. Given the number of Reform council candidates who have had to drop out prior to or after the local elections, does that seem likely? Social media is pretty unforgiving when it comes to finding skeletons in cupboards; a retweet or a like seems enough to scupper political ambitions. A few may defect from other parties, but do you think the electorate would really vote for so many brand new MPs from a newish party?  I'm not so sure.
