Southwark Labour councilors door to door visits

Hello all, did anyone receive a personal visit from Labour councilors last month? Funny it is council elections in May, coincidental?

I am still seething, most residents voted no for parking in the area, yet a parking money scheme, which has had no impact on my road, was introduced :(

Only a leaflet from the Dulwich Wood councillors about the post. Zero mention about the LTN.

Will be interesting to see if they visit roads inside or outside LTNs to gather support for the schemes

Inside may well be positive, outside negative support 🤔

But that's an assumption on my behalf

It seems the councilors are not always good at listening and responding to residents

One of the Rye Lane ward councillors came round in November or possibly early December. I guess they feel they ought to engage with electors once every four years. Never answer emails though.

I do not feel we should accept representatives who ignore electors

Are they going door to door to look for property to develop for their paymasters?

Labour came knocking on my road yesterday. Told them to get stuffed, it was too late to listen now. They didn't seem all that surprised tbh.

You're surprised that there is door to door campaigning in advance of an election? Hold on to your wig because the Tories, Lib Dems and maybe even the Greens will be knocking soon enough.
