Richard 'the Carpenter' Reed....a recommendation

Recommended Posts

If you are looking for somebody with an afinity with wood....look no further than Richard Reed..He was recommended and lived up to his recommendation. He built a balustrade for us with spindles and a newel post in a very awkward space...plained six doors to fit dovetail perfectly ....Not a bead of sweat passed his brow in his zen like calmness ......I spent some time mulling over the fat with him during a tea break and was engrossed by his stories of Spain and the 8 year renovation an old spanish village house in the shadows of the Sierra Nevada ...and least of all he is an artist. He may ponder artistically for a moment and share his thoughts but then he works fleetingly...he tells me he has a love of making things out of wood.. furniture, cupboards and more. Having met him i would say nothing in wood is a challenge...But do not take my word for it...Phone Richard up..his pricing is reasonable and his work is great...07500734152..

    • Called Tessa Jowell GP Surgery today after failing to get two repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy.  When I asked the pharmacy, I was told that they had been requested but not sent by the surgery.  After speaking to the surgery I was told that those two items were no longer on my repeat prescriptions.  I was told I would need a prescription review. Earliest date would be the 22 September.  That is utterly ridiculous.  Surely someone from the surgery should have contacted me to tell me this after requesting the repeat prescriptions two weeks ago.    Also, apparently, there is no point sending an email regarding prescriptions as they are not actioned nor replied to as I have discovered.
    • Erm... guessing it's like any service... so you can receive/be part of something relevant to you in the area where you happen to reside. You don't have to sign up but you might miss out on an excellent Tesco offer or two. 🤷‍♀️

    • happy to buy, but would rather not buy a new one as only need it for a very short time (Hallowe'en). Please let me know if you have one in your cupboard that you don't use.
