Looking for a mobile phone "Whizz"

Are you a whizz with mobile phones, can you fix them.

I have an LG handset which has reverted to "service disabled" mode meaning it cannot connect to a network.

Have you fixed phones previously with this problem. I've looked online and although they are suggestions, they do not seem to provide the necessary fix.

So, if you can fix this, can you PM me, or if you know someone who HAS fixed this problem, can you pm me their details.

Please only respond if you can do this or know someone who can. Thanks in advance J.

That's interesting. Encouraged by the reports attributing the problem in LGs to a loose screw or other connection, I've just tried some careful screw checking on my Galaxy S4, and found the one next to the SIM card holder had been just slightly loose. Now to see whether tightening it prevents any more of the occasional "Sim card not detected - reboot" reports. And on the way I also learned of the existence of yet one more species of bit, the JIS, and the need not to confuse it with a Phillips. Thanks. (Though in the end the tightening seems to have made no difference.) Edited by ianr

    • I had a leaky toilet cistern and Niko came out the same day and not only fixed the leak but thoroughly cleaned off the years of calcium build-up. His attention to detail was matched by his kind humanity. The result was a completely renovated toilet which has never worked more efficiently as well as 'service with a smile'. MANY THANKS NIKO!!!

    • "You have no idea why"   To be fair Sue, it's blindingly obvious to anyone who has a conversation with anyone who isn't a Corbyn supporter. And even some who liked Corbyn (like me initially) found him somewhat flaky even at his most popular But let's say you are right and I have NO idea why anybody might not vote for him. They still didn't vote for him. He lost two elections. The second one badly (and strongly predicted but the stubborn old goat wouldn't budge so we we were stuck with Johnson and another 3 million PMs in the 5 years that followed) So even with ZERO evidence, we have our eyes and ears and brains But we do have evidence   https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/27022-their-own-words-why-voters-abandoned-labour
