Dmc wasting appointments, furious!

So I asked lloyds to collect a prescription for a liquid calcium supplement from Dmc on crystal palace road for my 2 year old who is on a dairy and soya free diet as she is allergic to them. She has been prescribed said calcium by her paediatric gastroenterologist (who then referred is back to the gp for future prescriptions). Now I have had 2 separate appointments with a gp to collect a prescription for her calcium as instructed by the specialist, which I have then collected from lloyds. Both times I asked for a repeat prescription, both times the GPs messed up and didn't provide it. So, went to collect the prescription from lloyds and lo and behold lloyds were told it was not on repeat prescription. If the gp had cared to look at my daughters file thu would have seen she should have been prescribed on repeat and also should have a source of calcium given the absence of the major dietary sources of it. I rang the surgery and the 'helpful' receptionist said I would need to make an appointment. Now this is against the problem of a lack of appointments for patients who are actually ill. I am so mad as lo needs her supplement. Luckily I have enough to keep her sorted until I get a prescription (won't leave until I have ensured it is repeat), but I can't fathom how irresponsible the practice is. Beggars belief...

It's not impossible to get an appt, that's total bollox.

Impossible means not possible.

What are all the people sat in the waiting room for - a picnic ?

You go there and join a small queue outside just before 0800 (earlier if you just have to be no.1), they open the door and you go inside and at the desk they book you in for next available slot.

Did it last Wednesday and they gave me a slot for 1030, I was 5th in the queue and everyone in front of me got a slot that morning or, as some of them wanted, afternoon / next day.

How many versions of 'impossible' are there ?! Going by the version I use it's entirely 'possible'.

I understand that people can have difficulties with DMC or any other establishment, but lying on a public forum is disengenuous to other EDFers and unfair to the business. Just because you can't get what you want and now is probably an expectation management issue you need to fix, to save you slagging-off other local businesses who don't deserve your attacks.

I've just demonstrated its NOT impossible.

    • I have just read on open council network that Tesco had applied for an alcohol licence, and an ATM license, according to the article, permission was granted with conditions attached.
    • In an ideal world, yes, more tax would be directed to the justice system. Because a lot of suspects don't get a fair trial and wrongly convicted. Often they'll have a long list of previous, so police are picking the low hanging fruit. And because legal aid solicitors and barristers' pay is now so anaemic, they simply don't have the time to work a case and defend it properly. So you probably see more people behind bars than there should be.  It started with Brown and then got way worse with Cameron, when he essentially tried to turn legal aid firms into giant call centres and put the contracts out to tender. Even since then, the system gets squeezed more every year.
    • Courts are in session from 10am to mid-day then 2pm to 4pm. Four hours a day with a two hour lunch is probably the cause.
    • You pay tax to fix problems  you underfund stuff my faking tax cuts and the breakdown of the system is what you get there are no cheap or easy fixes. It will take money and time - and people lack patience
