I think he would resign if fined - that goes without saying

Even funnier their is the beginnings of talk on GB News of Starmer being replaced, so much for a united team, you really couldn't make it up even if you wanted to!!!

What's really amusing is seeing newspapers/pundits/posters et al who were once saying there are far more important things to talk about than parties/fines etc, now happily talking about someone eating a curry...

Should add Tory ministers/MPs who once wouldn't comment on the parties/fines until Sue Grey and the Met had carried out their respective report/investigation, are now happy to comment on a case under investigation.

No different from the Graun with an opinion peice today bemoaning why trivial 'beergate' is being focussed on when its far more important that the Tories took an eletoral kicking....

All sides do exactly the same...all the time...whether its the left/right leaning press or left/right leaning politicians...no side is more ehtical or less hypocritical than the other for the most part (I'll except the PM from this generlisation of sides being equally as hyocritical, as he is a very specific, slippery indiviudal case who is a clear outLIER!)...it just depends on which ones you choose to focus on.

In my view if Starmer really wants to standout from the crowd and make an impact, he should come out today and resign straight-up, proving he is a man of principle and practices what he preaches etc etc. I think it would be a smart move if he's willing the play the long game....it would certianly garner a great deal of resepct from a lot of people who perhaps arent really fans of his....then try for the leadership again in a couple of years when Labour inevtively have their next leadership contest...and this time with an even stronger stranglehold on credibility/priciples....

Blair is still obsessed with digital ID

"As an example of the kind of radical policy he would like to see, Blair suggests tackling concerns about illegal immigration by introducing biometric ID as a precondition for accessing work and public services."

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
