Local laptop repair recommendation?

The website is still there

http://www.netquest-consulting.com/

Christian is only there some days in the week so it's best to phone first

I just googled, and where it says "permanently closed", if you click on that it says a "Google user" has provided that information, and asks you to confirm whether it is correct or not.

That seems a bit weird as a competitor could do that! I wonder if Christian knows?

I may be wrong, but surely if it's permanently closed he would take down his website?

I hope he's still there, as he is very good.

Thanks, Sue. To be honest I am not sure what's going on there. I am posting for my mum and she said she had a bounce back on the email address provided and endless ringing with no answer phone when she called. Would be great if it was still going, but no luck so far...

That's really strange. I've always found Christian very helpful and reliable, and he mended my laptop, which had gone into complete meltdown, not that long ago.

I hope he isn't ill.

ETA: I just copied and pasted the email address from the website and sent a test email which also bounced back.

That's very sad if he has gone, because someone else in the area I used to use moved away years ago.

I suppose you could try putting a note through the door, on the off chance.

I did that and didn't get a reply, months ago

I emailed you at the address on your website, and it bounced back, so I think it's not just a Google issue?

    • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
    • Was anyone else disturbed last night/early hours this morning by the party going on in someone’s garden on Crystal Palace road. Can’t see what house exactly but it’s around number 43 - 41… it was happening quite frequently last year. Seems it’s starting again! Very inconsiderate.
