Opening up bricked up fireplace

I'd like to open up a fireplace that has been bricked up in my living room. No idea what is behind there. I'd like to use someone local who has experience doing this kind of work and isn't going to cause any structural issues. Ideally someone who can also then help install a new surround, insert etc

I was desperately unfit and now I am in danger of turning into a gym junkie! If you are considering joining a gym/class or getting a personal trainer then I would 100% recommend Gokay Fitness.
