Query re flying from EU to UK & NHS Covid pass

I have a query about flying back into UK from EU - do you need to show covid pass to check-in/board?? I am trying to work out the NHS Covid Pass - paper one is valid 30 days from date of request (rather than issue) which means cutting it fine to receive it in time bearing in mind weekends & Jubilee bank holidays.

I'm getting paper one as my phone likely won't cope with digital one (v tempermental!).

We are just back and did NOT need to show the pass when returning to UK. Make sure you get the International covid pass when you download. I only found out there was a different one a few days before we flew and doing what was needed to register took a while!
