FREE - Completely! Joggers & Powerwalkers: Tues@7-30pm on the Rye **Cancelled**

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the friendly welcome this evening, I enjoyed getting out in the fresh air. I will definitely be able to come next week, as it's half term and my kids are off to Scotland to see their grandparents, so see you there!

Hi to all,

Its that time of the week for a powerwalk or a jog or even a run around the Rye!

Meet on the Rye, by the zebra crossing opposite the Clock House Pub for 7-25pm and set off for 7-30pm :-)

Otherwise, see you all on Saturday. Or..... if you haven't been on a cycle ride yet - the next one is in 2-weeks time to the Cutty Sark via 3-Blue Plaques, one of which is for Barnes Wallis (The Bouncing Bomb).

Best!

Hey guys, just got my first pair of running trainers and really excited about giving them a whirl on Tuesday! So even if the weather is completely pants, I'll be there!

For anyone thinking about coming along but not feeling sure because of their current fitness levels; my old trainers were bought for me by my mum in the late 90s in an attempt to make me go to aerobics with her, the fact they lasted this long goes to show how much exercise I did before joining Tuesday running club so don't be worried! Walking, jogging and a combo of the two are completely smiled upon! :-)

    • I hate cooking and I can't cook. I live on stuff out of the freezer which I cook once every six months. I exaggerate only slightly.
    • Simply, give us a snap election now as the last 12 months in office honestly have not been great in any sense. Let someone else have a go at turning around UK plc before it's too late. At least the last administration had the inflation and unemployment rates going in the right direction at the END.
    • Yes but what's the answer, Jazzer? No government can simply walk in and fix the economy - get the bills down, grow it and reduce debt. There is no silver bullet. The public (and the press) wants everything now, everything cheaper, but with better public services and lower taxes.  In the radio and paper, all you ever hear is pundits, MPs, think tanks and economists saying what won't work, but no one seems to know what will work.  I'm genuinely interested to hear what other views people have on here, and what they think will help, or make things worse.
    • While they struggle with economics of UK plc, collectively we all suffer as a result of their ineptitude.
