Nigello
I think it is a bit of a pain to change, but less of a pain than not having any bus at all. Maybe the money saved could one day be used to fund minibuses to supplement the bigger/longer routes, ie. providing a cross-borough or cross-neighbourhood route. Rockets
The more strikes there are the worse the financial situation for TFL becomes and raises the likelihood of more cuts being necessary. The last strikes in March are estimated to have cost TFL ?13m so the new batch that kicked off today will deepen the hole TFL finds itself in. Spartacus
It's more about where the 12 goes to and from now in central London. As someone mentioned, late at night its not convenient to change at the elephant and some users feel safer getting a single bus all the way.But think on, what will happen when normal working patterns resume in a short time, not enough buses is my opinion... legalalien
For anyone interested a big chunk of last night’s Council Assembly meeting covered bus cuts and the number 12 specifically, starting with a couple of deputations and then moving on to a debate. Inevitably some bits on the “central govt or TfL” fault issue but importantly the council is very much against the cuts. The meeting’s available on the Southwark YouTube channel.
