Recommendation for building batten for curtains?

Hello,

We need someone to build a batten over a bay window for a curtain pole. It needs to fit in as best as possible with the window frame. It's not a straight batten, it will need to surround the frame a little on the sides too. I don't think it is a complex job, but we need someone who will take care of the details to make sure the wood fits well, gaps are filled neatly etc.

Can anyone recommend someone who would do a good job here? We've tried some handyman-type people but they didn't give us any confidence they were thinking about the details.
