Hello.

My name is Will.

I teach guitar, bass, keyboards, rudimentary drums, songwriting and music production to all ages.

I mainly teach practically without too much emphasis on theory, although, this is tailored to the student.

Love working with kids and adults alike.

10 years of experience in one-on-one private tutoring.

I'm a professional musician & songwriter signed to Parlophone records, when not teaching I am touring and recording.

Lessons held at my studio by Peckham Rye station for £35 per hour

I am currently taking on new students.

Please get in touch, I would love to hear from you

I have two children of polar personality’s. One who practices daily, loves song recommendations and cares whole lot about being perfect. The other child wants only chaos and to make up songs and lyrics on the spot. Will is the only guitar teacher (we have had six) who can teach both challenging boys in a way that they find fun, engaging and inspiring. Will has been our guitar teacher and all round great house guest for over four years!

We recommend you hire him daily!

It’s great having Will teach me guitar, it’s the highlight of the week and I love the variation he induces between the academic and liberal sides of guitar learning.

Hey Paddy,

Give me a call when you are free and we can find a time that works.

Will is a great teacher and a top bloke. I went to him because I felt like my playing had reached a plateau; I was strumming the same old stuff, struggling to challenge myself and had fallen into various bad habits. Will helped elevate my playing, boost my confidence and made me more competent when it comes to finger picking, which is something I typically shied away from. He's patient, flexible and, as well as getting a lot out of the lessons, I've really enjoyed chatting to him about music and his life as a musician. I'd thoroughly recommend him. Gavin

Would be very happy to recommend Will who has been giving me guitar lessons since last summer. Guitar was something I came back to in lockdown, but only ever having been self taught I needed help moving up a level. Will has given me a better grounding of basic music theory which is more useful than I had anticipated and also helped me to explore improvisation and lead patterns with pentatonic scales etc. Lovely guy and patient too (which must help with me!)

Hello everyone,

I'm currently looking to fill some availabilities on a weekly basis.

I enjoy teaching all ages.

The lessons are rarely based on theory or any rigid musical structure and at times are more about finding creativity and expression through exploring with sound and music. In this way can be a good respite for children learning more traditional music lessons in school. Saying this, I also love to teach students how to play songs and how to make use of practical techniques.

Feel free to get in touch for times

I charge £35ph and teach from my studio in Peckham.

I highly recommend Will as a teacher who is both empathetic and enjoyable.

I started learning when I was 18 years old and hadn’t picked up the guitar before. But straight away I felt comfortable with Will which made playing guitar exciting. His lessons became something I looked forward to in my week. We learnt my favourite songs, how they were made and then we them played together.

Not only did Will open up the amazing world of music to me, he also helped me a grow a really strong passion for the things I do today. I am very grateful for meeting Will. He is a great role model.

Also highly recommending Will, who my 8-year-old son has been seeing for half hour guitar classes for the last year.  The relaxed approach, with emphasis on inspiring interest in music (& not just the guitar, as Will also has a drum kit in his studio) really suits my son. He loves this half hour of creativity.

Will has been teaching my 12 year old son guitar for the last year. He was having lessons at school but found them a little boring and needed some extra help passing his grade 1 exam. Will has been great and much more fun than the lessons at school. Will has also been teaching my 8 year old keyboard and drums. Both boys have thoroughly enjoyed their sessions and I would absolutely recommend Will to anyone looking for lessons.

Another big thumbs up for Will from me.

I've had bass lessons with Will over the past year after a 30 year break, and they've been great. He approached our lessons from a songwriting perspective, which was perfect for my needs.

I played bass in a band for a few years in the 1990s but never really knew what I was doing. A year with Will has given me a far better understanding of music theory and how bass relates to other instruments in a band.

Thank you Will!

    • Was planning to come on here to ask if anyone might know which celeb/royal came through Lordship Lane yesterday - was on my way up to Spurs, on bus at the roundabout by the EDT when some whistling police cyclists pulled the traffic to the side of the road to allow a biggish range rover to shoot past, on the way up towards Dog Kennel Hill. Could only make out two, maybe middle-aged, men in the front before it passed. Mildly hysterical lady on pavement was laughing/screeching with her friend that they were desperately trying to find out who it was. Had more reason to post after this lunchtime's experience. Had just got to bus stop opposite the M&S by the station when some mini cooper thing bombed through the traffic, swerving across to cut up another car to get up the hill, before two or three police cars followed about 20 seconds behind. Said mini cooper thing then reappeared coming the other way, beeping its horn to get other cars out the way before it bombed up what I think was Elsie Road, with police cars now on both sides of the road by Maxin trying to stop traffic getting in the way/half the speeding car. Bit more than I had bargained for when I set out/want in local area! Stay careful out there folks, this place is getting scarier...
    • The stop outside the chippy was still closed earlier today, although the barriers I saw yesterday have been removed, so no need for the closure.  The stop outside the church across the road is now uncovered and open
    • You all have different and conflicting interests though. It isn't necessarily appropriate for him to communicate with all of you at the same time about the same issues.    You're giving more away with each post as to how these difficulties probably arose.
    • @CPR Dave He needs to communicate collectively with all of the beneficiaries.  That is the whole point of my original post.  Electronic communications are the best way of doing this, as I am doing now on this forum.  Apart from the gold digger who will get a six figure sum the rest of us are on four figures, and that is going down by the day. I'm offended by any suggestion that we are not behaving well.  What on earth do you mean?
