Anyone lost a black Cockapoo? It was tied up outside Sainsbury?s local today. A Southwark council employer has taken the dog to see if anyone has reported the dog missing. The poor dog was very dehydrated. The dog is a female and had a red extending lead. Please get in touch if you saw the owner/owners or have any info.

The dog looked well, but was very dehydrated and it didn?t seems to like him according to my mum. I have asked him for an update, I?ve copied in his work colleagues, Battersea was contacted too. It?s weird that is sure.

It's a bit worrying. If there's no information forthcoming I would be doubly suspicious and maybe check with whichever Southwark department he works for? Dog could have been kidnapped for all we know. It's so easy to be wise after the event and think about what one should do in these circumstances. Probably the best thing is to insist on ID before dog taken away but not so easy to think of these things at the time. I hope we all get answers about where this dog has ended up.

He replied back to say: On the dog owner issue, they found the owner as I stuck around for an hour or so at the shop I found her at and then the owner came to collect her after the shop keeper saying that the pwner came back and left contact details etc. It was exactly as I said in that the owner had forgotten her but at least she's back with her owner now.

    • Sure - but to describe one councillor's hissy fit as a "fury" unrivalled by hell is a bit of an overstatement. Cllr Barber's attempt to hijack the moment by blaming austerity on Labour instead of the Lib Dem-Tory coalition is an amusing fumble too. It would have been better to keep quiet and enjoy the spectacle of Labour and ex-Labour councillors bickering. Labour is well-known for its ability to sustain internal catfights for years, if not decades!
    • Yes,  but as you said "at last" you had found a good reason not to vote for the greens, I wondered why you would want one. Plus it seemed (to me, at least) a very strange reason and didn't seem to have anything to do with the party's policies.
    • I also had a good experience with Andy, he was quick to respond and came out to resolve the issue at short notice. He was friendly and worked hard to find a solution to the problem with my tap which is now working like new again.
    • No, I clearly quoted you in my response; did you miss that? It’s obviously AI generated: any reasonable human being would be too ashamed to spin such arrant twadle.
