Anyone lost a black Cockapoo? It was tied up outside Sainsbury?s local today. A Southwark council employer has taken the dog to see if anyone has reported the dog missing. The poor dog was very dehydrated. The dog is a female and had a red extending lead. Please get in touch if you saw the owner/owners or have any info.

The dog looked well, but was very dehydrated and it didn?t seems to like him according to my mum. I have asked him for an update, I?ve copied in his work colleagues, Battersea was contacted too. It?s weird that is sure.

It's a bit worrying. If there's no information forthcoming I would be doubly suspicious and maybe check with whichever Southwark department he works for? Dog could have been kidnapped for all we know. It's so easy to be wise after the event and think about what one should do in these circumstances. Probably the best thing is to insist on ID before dog taken away but not so easy to think of these things at the time. I hope we all get answers about where this dog has ended up.

He replied back to say: On the dog owner issue, they found the owner as I stuck around for an hour or so at the shop I found her at and then the owner came to collect her after the shop keeper saying that the pwner came back and left contact details etc. It was exactly as I said in that the owner had forgotten her but at least she's back with her owner now.

    • I’m not sure the problems were caused by Everyone Active. They run perfectly good centres elsewhere, including the Queen Mum which until recently was my main pool. As far as I can remember the problems with the Dulwich pool started months after it was handed over to Southwark. But I might be wrong on that. I think there was a period when EA weren’t investing in it, pre hand back to Southwark, which is not surprising, but it was maintained to legal standards, I’m sure. I tried to swim at Dulwich a couple of weeks back. The water is far too hot. I would say it’s bordering on dangerous. I’m sure it’s within the tolerances etc but it is significantly warmer than JAGS (warm but still ok for session swims) which itself is way warmer than any of the other pools I swim at (Queen Mum, St Pancras, Oasis). I do wonder if all the problems they had with filters are related to the temp of the water. Peckham Pulse and Camberwell aren’t hot  so I think it’s a manager decision to run Dulwich so hot. Appreciate that the pool temp has nothing to do with the showers.
