There is a session on tomorrow morning at crystal Palace sports centre called Toddlers World. I've been trying to find out whether this is an organised activity or just a soft play session, not much info on the web and they are closed now... Over to you! Has anyone been that can tell more?

Thanks!

Hi there, I've been a few times and it seems to have got much worse recently-when I first started there was a good mix of soft play and gym equipment and recently its just been a very poor selection of things that don't really seem to hold kids attentions or imagination.i asked the supervisor where all the gym equipment was and I was told that due to "health and safety" they can't bring it out anymore. Definitely not worth the ?4.95 entrance fee until they reinstate all the gym equipment. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear, just trying to save you the disappointment! Hopefully it will improve again as more people complain!
Went to Beckenham spa this morning for baby gym (walking-3 yo) they had traditional gym equipment out such as spring boards, benches, beams etc. as well as a slide and tunnel for play. My son is nearly two and loved it, there were also a couple of 15-16 month olds who loved it. The session is 45 mins and could have stayed much longer.

I have read elsewhere that the baby area is overun with toddlers - was that your experience? I would like to try it but not if my 14 month old is going to be battling with older children. Would really welcome feedback.

Re the Buzz Zone at Beckenham Spa, it very much depends on when you go, but if you head over during holidays or after school then the baby zone is pretty hectic with lots of older kids and there is a good chance that the smaller children will be knocked over.

    • I’ve been happily with them for donkeys years but my recent experience has been a bit shocking. Clinical staff have been great (if you can get an appointment) but apparently the Practice has a ‘new system’ in place. You can’t phone for an appointment, you have to go ‘on the app’ and request one. GP will review the request at some unspecified point and decide whether to offer you an appointment . My experience of using the app hasn’t been good and I’m a bit horrified that folk can no longer arrange appointments by phone or by walking in. I’ve also had them lose referral forms, and had to chase them multiple times over a simple GP letter. This has never been my experience in the past so it’s alarming. Anyway, I’ve asked to be included in the Patient Participation Panel, so I’m interested in the experience of others, good & bad? Feel free to PM me, if you prefer!
    • I miss milkmen. It was the sign of a good night out if you met one on the way home. But could quality produce, in 100% recyclable packaging and home-delivered by zero emission electric vehicles really catch on these days? They should bring back the Corona pop man, as well.
