  1. Thanks for all the suggestions. The apartments look great bluesuperted, DH maintains he wants to be on-the-sea so until we get closer to our flight dates we'll keep looking for beach front places. Please feel free to recommend any other places. air b n b is such a great site but they all seem to have pools which won't work for my 2. Will prob need to be in a resort. Thanks again.
  2. Evening friends, I'm going round in circles trying to find accom for my young family (kids are 1 and 3) in Portugal for June. Flights to Lisbon have been booked for a couple of months and as much as I would love to stay at martinhal, we simply cannot afford it (last time we stayed there it was in the spring and much more affordable!) Please can you suggest where I might look, ideally in the algarve. I really don't want a villa with a pool as the safety issues would stress me out so I guess we're looking at a resort with self catering villas...like martinhal! Would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks
  3. Try polean farm near looe, our toddler loved it last year and lots to keep busy helping round the farm...East looe beach is perfect for little ones too. X
  4. Oh no...a year? Is that for the 2-3 class? I'm keen to find a class for my son.
  5. We had the snip in Katie's home and it is a bit "weird" as it is essentially her office in a tiny bedroom but looking back, I didn't feel we had much choice as the NHS system takes so long to refer that I wouldn't have continued to BF. Would I have preferred a more sterile environment? Yes. Would I do it again? Yes. There's no perfect solution here (though why don't they just do it at birth like they used to????)
  6. For sale - collection from SE12 Bugaboo cocoon in black (with headrest) - ?20 Bugaboo cosytoes / footmuff in black - ?45 (hardly used as we sold the bugaboo very soon after buying it!) Both in great condition from smoke free home!
  7. Highly recommend Robert and deny's who are based in Peckham. Such great service and really friendly chaps-they did our packing too at a v reasonable rate (I was 8m preg with 2nd child so a necessary luxury!)
  8. AnnaCBH I thank you...I trust your neediness and may just follow you to trampoline warehouse! Happy bouncing!
  9. I'm thinking of doing the same, can I jump in and ask which one you're going for? There seem to be a huge price range just within the same size specifications....
  10. Re: toilet, if you're having an enclosed cistern make sure you plan for decent access if something goes wrong. Having to break into expensive tiles / woodwork left us feeling pretty red faced! And when our plumber did come out to fix it (it was a fancy Grohe flush system) he roller his eyes and suggested that the simpler British made flushes were much more reliable (twyfords is the only name I remember him suggesting) as these rarely fail.
  11. Zulily is also a great site for discount kids labels (and toys)
  12. Boden is currently 70% off on brandalley (or has been all weekend)
  13. Makes me feel completely sick...so pleased it all turned out well and thank you for sharing /warning everyone.
  14. Make sure you specify which type of car seat you want-we called a cab from Tommy's and the guy turned up with a toddler seat that he didn't even know how to fit-my husband had to take the cab home and drive all the way back with our own car seat to pick us up. Addison lee, keen group and airport direct are all firms i can recommend.
  15. Thanks for more replies. Not too fussed about seeing male or female (I had a male midwife for both pregnancies) but it has just occurred to me that I have no idea what's involved in re-aligning a pelvis! In basic terms, how does it work??
