Hiya, I am trying to come up with ideas for a holiday for 2 adults plus 2year old toddler in July that includes warm weather, pool, beach but is not based in Spain, the Balearics or the Canaries. I am trying to straddle the gulf between our previous independent travel and wanting to have some playmates for my son. Would be grateful for suggestions / ideas, thanks!

pefki islands in Rhodes is lovely. We have stayed at pefki islands resort a few times and it is a lovely place. People so friendly, place very very clean, has two pools but you are also welcome to use the pool/facilities in the linda thassalia resort which is just at the end of the road which also has a huge pool. They have a kids club and activities too. Close to restaurants/bars but not that close where you hear them. Have a look at Thomson website as they have a video of the place too

You can get taxi's to nearby st pauls bay which is lovely and you can take a boat trip around (they usually have a barbeque on one of the beaches they stop at). Its more of a relaxing holiday but the resort has evening entertainment on too.

I guess they charge because a 2 year old would have their own seat on the plane

    • I have been reliably informed that it's not the same group.
    • my bet is it's the same group and no amount of talking to is going to make a difference.
    • Definitely not intended  to come across as "gleeful". Quite the opposite, because developments such as this will only encourage extreme right-wingers such as Reform. And heaven help us if they ever formed a government. It's incumbent on Labour to come up with an effective  policy to "smash the gangs" otherwise we are facing Farage and his gang further down the road.
    • It feels like it might be an extension of the summer water bombing spate. The sad thing is this could really put off some visiting the park. I really hope the council seriously consider putting some of their huge parking surplus to funding a serious and permanent warden and police presence in the park; it is needed.
