Tiny tweak: if I understand your map you turn right from Friendly Gardens to Albyn Road so you can join New Cross Road for a stretch before the start of GHR. I hate New Cross Road because of the traffic, so instead carry on Friendly St to the end and you can then cut through the park (Broadway Gardens) to get to Deals Gateway which is opposite the start of GHR. Means you get a set of lights to yourself.

Or you could go to Odeon in Surrey Quays. 2 tickets to Dumbo tomorrow is ?25 and not as comfortable or with as good amenities as Picturehouse. Presumably they get away with it because they can sell the luxury experience to gullible middle class parents of Surrey Quays.

Nice idea. I've seen couples with babies at the Arch in Bermondsey but not a group. It's a good idea: the kids like the soft mats!

Jardin des Plantes (sp), and natural history museum, is (at least) a day's worth of fun. NHM (http://www.mnhn.fr/) is good, there's a really good museum of evolution, which is lots of skeletons from dinosaurs to humans, but all arranged so they face the same way, as if all marching out of the room. The park also has a good zoo, plus lots of grass, playgrounds, giant greenhouses, ice creams....

We put a toilet in under the stairs, opposite the cellar door, slightly jutting into the corner of the kitchen. You don't notice it in the kitchen because it fits with the line of cupboards on that wall. We moved the cellar door about a foot or so into the cellar to make sure we had access space there.

My 8yo loves his Kano: mostly scratch and hacking minecraft. A slightly cheaper alternative is to buy a raspberry pi and accessories, and then plug it into the TV: https://www.raspberrypi.org/ The Kano kit is a raspberry pi, plus case, keyboard, screen etc, and the kano software which has loads of stuff specifically designed for kids. My son loved just building it, even before he turned it on and realised it means he's got his own computer.

We bought direct from Kloeber, didnt have any problems. Prices depend a lot on whether you use standard size or bespoke. We had bespoke ones around 30cm taller than normal. From memory these were about ?1500 a pane.

My 7yo son uses Mathletics at school and at home: it's sums but quite fun and you get badges for getting numbers right. And you can do challenges against other children around the world. There's a really good BBC Dr Who game. 50% is just a platform game, but then you have to solve puzzles by programming a dalek. A good way to get kids thinking in an algorithmic way. At the bottom end, the best game I've seen is still "Where's my water". Problem solving skills but not much learning. The free version comes with annoying ads, but doesn't hassle you to pay for things as much as others.

tasha1 - Habs have 2 primaries in their "federation". 1 is a mile or so away in New Cross, and kids get into the secondary automatically, which uses up to 60 places. The second one is on site, but only has kids up to year 3 at the moment (as it only opened 3 years ago) so they won't start in secondary for a few years.

Louisa - is the Pyros not still old school enough? I hope someone doesn't do it up because I doubt it'll work: Old Nuns Head is opposite and does the hipster thing very well but they work very hard to get a decent number of people in during the week. Plus the excellent but tiny Beer Shop. I don't think there's enough young drinkers around to justify another place like that so close.

I don't think Deliveroo deliverers are their employees, it's an "Uber model" whereby they're all self-employed. Avoids that nasty duty of care stuff.
