Do come and support this wonderful event returning after a two year break.

Music, food and child friendly activities. A fiver for adults. Sydenham Garden helps those with mental health needs in SE London using gardening, arts, music and other therapeutic activities.

The event is at 35a Defrene Road on the border with Forest Hill. It's a lovely site, formally allotments with a large pond, bee hives and chickens. All supervised of course!

I'll post a link later.

Saturday 20th August, 12-5pm

35a De Frene Rd, SE26 4AB

In a beautiful setting on our flower farm, amongst the chickens, blooms, bees and fruit trees, you’ll find fun and creative activities for children and grown ups, stalls from South London makers, delicious garden-made lunches, tea and cakes and some very special live music- from steel pans, local soul and folk queens to a Brazilian drumming circle!

    • I have no doubt that local people are genuinely involved (and personally can understand their not wanting to publicise their involvement). That said the proliferation of One groups across London and the degree of co-ordination suggests it is more than just a local grassroots group. I’m not really that interested, except that many of their supporters do bang on about transparency and accountability. I would be interested in the substance of their latest missive. Who has been pressurising the emergency services and how? Who genuinely believes that people are partially covering their plates and driving through due to inadequate signage? Sounds a little ridiculous / desperate. It feels like it may be time for them to start coming to terms with the changes tbh.
