Plantnation - Upland Road

I have been wondering the same thing. It's been closed for months. I miss Dulwich Garden Centre more but Plant Nation was handy for garden bags & the odd plant. They never had much in there but I agree the 2 men were lovely friendly chaps. I hope they haven't gone for good.

I guess maybe they thought there wasn't much point opening when the weather was so vile?

Because probably not many people were braving the cold and hail and expecting their new plants to do so as well!

But now the weather is better people will be out in their gardens again ......

I feel sorry for the garden centres, but the upside was I got a load of lovely plants half price because they couldn't sell them (not from Plantnation, however).

Plantnation - Great News

Yes the boys are back. Ray and LLoyd are back where they belong.

What a great time to see them just when the weather has improved time to get that outdoor

living space decked out in colour once again, just in time for barbecues and summer living.

Welcome back guys you were missed!

I went there yesterday pilsbury, they have a much better variety of stock than previous years, probably because they know EDGC has closed down. I wasn't looking for veg so can't confirm if they had any plugs, perhaps ring them. There's a gardening thread in the Lounge, 'Green Fingers', with their website details...

Yeh unfortunately I also bought a shrub from there which died, but I thought it looked a bit iffy when I bought it, so I blame myself really.

Should have taken it back but never got round to it, and now it's too late.

DEC charities and their local partners are now preparing to scale up their work in Gaza after months of extraordinary challenges delivering aid.   Food, water and shelter are desperately needed throughout Gaza.   The levels of need are catastrophic. Please donate now.   More than 2 million people, all of Gaza’s population, are facing extreme food insecurity. The UN-backed global hunger monitor, the IPC, confirmed in August that famine* is now a reality in parts of Gaza for the first time. Following the ceasefire agreement, safe access for urgently needed humanitarian aid is expected to increase, and DEC charities and their local partners are preparing to rapidly adapt and expand their programmes again. Donations to the Middle East Humanitarian Appeal are providing urgent relief to families in crisis.   Please act now to help people in desperate need of emergency support, with food, water and shelter.   We have seen what can be done during a period of ceasefire in Gaza to repair water supplies, reach the worst affected people and get emergency supplies to those on the brink.
