Did you know that there is a Company taking congestion charge payments which is not the official website and takes a fee for doing the payment on your behalf which is about ?6. Surely that shouldn't be legal, but according to CC London it is as they are doing the payment for you. The offical website is

The one that want to rip you off is this one, they may be more though:

Seems like quite a good one to me, if people actually pay them money for doing very little!

the website does state it's not official and will charge a fee - but it's not in big text, and it's not in the red callout NB text.

It's in a relatively chunky block of text which I'm guessing many people skim-read if at all, assuming all else looks ok having looked at the large, bold and coloured text

It's there, but it's cheeky IMO

I am offering a services from today going forward where I will organise tickets for the ED Folk Club (Goose) for a mere ?20 per ticket. This includes all services/costs and entrance to the gig itself. NOTE: I am not the official Goose ticket outlet. Prices may vary according to the mark-up I fancy making / who's playing.

Please PM me for bookings.

(..BTW Sue, I found it !)

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
