Thank you for your email. I am sorry if I have caused you any inconvienience but the feed back I have had from others damaged by this man locally, has justified the post. I took legal advice before posting and as you are probably aware libel is only an issue if the material published is untrue and as such I did not hide behind a false name or email address. I wish you well on your excellent forum.

Because I stayed silent for too long. The mail he wrote about me was posted in November and his verbal abuse of me locally was getting worse. I agree very tawdry indeed but the truth is out there now and I have been contacted by many others who have been damaged too.

I stand by every word that I have said I have recordings of his abuse of me, I have admitted the wrongs I did to him in my post and I have lodged all the relevant information with my lawyer, and also copy of the post, before it went on the site. His original email about me, sent in November, has been verified and is provably untrue and damaging. I am legally allowed to publicly defend myself in response to that. 'Bob'

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
    • That is also a Young's pub, like The Cherry Tree. However fantastic the menu looks, you might want to ask exactly who will cook the food on the day, and how. Also, if  there is Christmas pudding on the menu, you might want to ask how that will be cooked, and whether it will look and/or taste anything like the Christmas puddings you have had in the past.
