Food banks in SE22

Is there a list anywhere of SE22 food banks, with their opening hours?

I have tried googling and also did a search on here, but couldn't find any info. I know there have been posts on here.

I have a load of stuff to take but don't want to find somewhere closed, as it's heavy.

Also the Salvation Army in Nunhead run a food bank. They are open on Wednesday to Saturday and are based on Nunhead Green, a few doors down from the Nuns Head. There is also a charity shop and great cafe there

I think there's a drop off point for PECAN/Southwark Foodbank in the modern atrium/cafe entrance of Christ Church at the top of Barry Rd.

Food taken to some of the food banks need to be non perishables, Those who have drivers etc do take fresh foodstuffs.

All food needs to be in date.

The OP has been given various suggestions and hopefully been able to make the donation.

As well as donations of food and toiletries which are always welcome volunteers to help sort and give out the donations are also needed. I know the Albrighton need more volunteers at the moment - school holidays mean regular volunteers are not available. If you can give a few hours or a day you can contact the Albrighton on 020 7737 6186. There is a variety of things that need doing and you can volunteer for a few hours as and when or regularly.

If you can put an extra item in your shopping trolley there are collection points in local supermarkets where you can drop the items on your way out.
