alice
Was there ever any lights? So dark impossible to see the path. Surrounding bright lights somehow intensify the darkness. Anyone know if this is a sainsburys or councillors responsibility? OutOfFocus
Pretty sure it's Sainsbury's responsibility Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/316789-so-dark-sainsburys-park/#findComment-1599411 Share on other sites

march46
The gate is meant to be locked at dusk. Sainsbury’s is responsible. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/316789-so-dark-sainsburys-park/#findComment-1599420 Share on other sites
Bic Basher
I never walk through that park at dark, it takes longer to walk the other way round, but it's safer. womanofdulwich
Its good to let the wildlife have some darkness. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/316789-so-dark-sainsburys-park/#findComment-1599439 Share on other sites
kiera
I completely agree with womanofdulwich that the park should remain unlit at night to leave in peace such wildlife as still remains. Penguin68
I completely agree with womanofdulwich that the park should remain unlit at night to leave in peace such wildlife as still remains.Though based on previous reports, that would mainly be rats Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/316789-so-dark-sainsburys-park/#findComment-1599448 Share on other sites
Jenijenjen
Many years ago now I had a conversation with an assistant manager about how they proposed to deal with the rats. I was told that I should speak to Southwark Council as the rats came from land owned by the council! There are, or used to be, foxes there - they could deal with the rats. ianr
Sainsburys are responsible for allowing daytime access: https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=1926691. Schedule 4 of the agreement I mention there also provides for a Management Plan for the park, to be submitted to and approved by the council.
