Council estate from the 1960's some properties have been sold and letting out at 2 to 3 times of the council rent.

Bits of it are ok'ish but I would not really recommend the place.

It was re-named in honour of Jim Bowen who lived there for a number of years. Unfortunately it is now quite rough.

Not rough Last Year voted Safest Estate in Southwark,Sydenham Hill train station on the kingswood estate ,shops,library ,Local Police station ,Gipsy hill and Crystal Palace stations near by ,Buses,Dulwich Woods ,Tescos ,Cafe Rouge near by as well as other shops local pubs near ,think UncleBen is misunderstood take a walk down or drive round think you will find it Quite a Pleasant area
