Hi just bringing to attention.

we woke to find a damage to our lovely bay window.Glengarry road happened around 1.30am Saturday 27th April, as we in housing trust property informed them had report to Met Police.

but due lack evidence criminal case dropped.........awaiting glass replacement.....we had plant pot dumped in our garden by late ED drunken residents before.

while waiting for glass replacement we had an issue that saddens us...on whats usually a family friendly supportive neighbourly street not one neighbour ask if we okay nothing.........

lived here since 2008..so we left feeling Dulwich isn't friendly place live.....no thoughtful neighbours no one wanting admit heard anything.

yet burglar alarm goes of everyone out see if okay........

and are people about that time in our road........been few crimes here recently not done by accident........message edited due lack understanding.........

Thankyou..............we feel unsafe..........told glass is toughened....neighbours don't have double glazing so thought someone hears it would be very loud.

just trying bring it in open see if anyone heard anything.

police did say will check any similar cases found in the local area..... we feel very vulnerable as easy to walk up to our window.

anyone knows what kind lock be easy put onto wooden bay window.......its latch type.

or entry alarm on window or vibrational type if glass damaged again.

:-( What a horrible thing to happen - I hope you're ok.

anyone know shop sells good reasonable latch locks?

How horrible for you ,and especially horrible no nice helpful neighbours .

I'd wait a bit about getting latch fitted . Maybe I'm missunderstanding ( brain is a bit foggy today ) but if the glass is broken a lock won't help will it .

Or is glass toughned now ?

Just don't want you to be sold something expensive ,though Callows have never tried to to do that to me ,they've always been very good .

This type of thing is simple and good IME

    • Great finish to today, true Test cricket. India had the chance to kill it off a couple of times, but Carse and Tongue looked far better than I was expecting in a Test situation over the last few days. Still hoping for Jofra and Woody to be back for a couple games each.  PGC, do you reckon this 'Anderson -Tendulkar' series could make Tests a bit more interesting to the wider word? There's still Birmingham, north London, Manchester and south London to go. It's never going to be 'The Ashes', but as a five game series, I genuinely think this might get people a bit more involved.
    • LOL.   Lazy ass people who choose to litter!!!!   Really greenery does not cause anti social behaviour.   But I gotta say thanks for the giggle. You are so on point.   How can we work as a collective to make "The establishment move forward".   Net 0 is coming in fast.   And the only way forward is for everyone to work together
    • That's a gross exaggeration. All of it. But maybe you just intended to provoke that response?
    • A problem with weeds being left to grow on pavements is that a lot of local residents appear to think it gives them permission to litter which then accumulates around these tufts of urine-soaked weeds. Saying that, the principal litter louts are the recycling workers that do the blue bins. I followed them down one of the roads and at every single stop they dropped between 5 and 11 separate pieces of rubbish. There were hundreds of pieces dropped on Underhill Road alone.
