Property description

This is an impressive, loved and extremely comfortable family home offered on a long term let as we are moving abroad. We are keen to find the right family who will enjoy being here as much as we have, take care of the house and enjoy their time here. We promise to be responsive and reasonable landlords; with a local friend managing the property for us while we are away. Please note due to stipulations in our mortgage we are only able to rent to a single person or family, not sharers unfortunately.

The house is double fronted with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. The photos do not do it justice it is huge, cozy and light. The garden and kitchen are southwest facing affording afternoon and evening sun, the house is decorated and cared for to a very high standard and the garden has been maintained by a gardener. There is a storage shed for childrens bikes and outdoor games and plenty of room to enjoy playing and living as a family.

In the catchment area for three primary schools: Edmund Waller, Ivydale and Hollydale, the house is in a superb residential location. Nunhead offers lots of fabulous independent cafes, shops and restaurants. A good fishmonger, greengrocers, baker, deli, pubs, hardware shops and a playground are all within a few minutes’ walk. Nunhead high street has a timeless village feel, with all the variety and diversity that you would hope for in London combined with the cosier benefits of village life. This is reflected in the delicious cuisines available and the friendly mixture of people in the local community. Slightly further, Peckham offers a cinema, swimming pool, live music venues and a huge selection of pubs and restaurants. Peckham Rye park has multiple playgrounds, a skate park and café, climbing trees and sports pitches. There really is something on the doorstep for every member of the family.

Property details

Located on the corner of Ansdell & Dundas Road, bay windows flank the front door. The two reception rooms either side of the entrance hall are currently being used as an office and TV / sitting room respectively, the layout allows for flexibility of the room functions.

To the rear of the ground floor is a beautiful open plan, Italian designed kitchen with underfloor heating and bi-folding doors that lead out onto the South West facing, partly paved garden with secure off-street parking and high fences, creating a very private feel.

The top two floors are carpeted throughout and hold five double bedrooms, three of which have their own en-suite shower rooms and a further three piece family bathroom.

Equipped with modern heating systems and insulation, the property is very energy efficient.

Situated close to two very well linked stations; Nunhead station is just under a 10 minute walk away, with regular links to Victoria and Blackfriars. Whereas Queens Rd station (10 min walk) is on the coveted East London Line, with links to the London Underground network and regular trains to London Bridge. Between the two, you’re very well connected.

Please note we are hoping to achieve £3,500 - £4,000 per month rent for this property, so will be open to offers above asking price. The house could be available partly furnished, there is some flexibility about move in dates and we would be open to re decorating certain areas of the house if preferred. All of this can be discussed when viewing. Viewings available Friday 10th pm and Saturday 11th February am.

    • There was a few around Loughborough Junction which were similar. The Green Man, Harrier's and The Loughborough Hotel come to mind. Harrier's could be a bit, erm, lively at times, but they were okay for a couple of pints early doors. A rough rule of thumb was, if someone puts The Wolfe Tones on the jukebox, you've probably outstayed your welcome. I was in one in Dalston Junction some years ago when a very large Irish lad mistook the home-made Scotch Bonnet sauce for tomato ketchup - and he obviously really liked tomato ketchup. I've never seen such a big bloke shed so many tears.
    • There's a thing called scan angels who can come to your location!
    • I agree with @malumbu Forest Hill around the Horniman. Forest Hill station has Southern Rail and Windrush, The London bridge train is great for connecting to Northern Line or Southern Trains to Charing X and Cannon Street.  When I need to get into the city I take Windrrush to Whitechapel then Elizabeth Line to Liverpool Street. Lots of parks, Lots of young families, farmers Market on Sunday, Decent nearby pool and gym. Independent Butcher a few Delis (Aga's The butcher sells Deli stuff And Pantry on Perry Vale) and good independent cofee shops, An organic  grocer on dartmouth road.. Sainsburys, Costa, Superdrug and TJ Jones (WHSmith) are branches of chains based there.
    • Thanks  for the advice .I did call Celia Hammond today and they are very busy at the moment and am waiting for a call back but in the meantime I thought I would see if I could find out who the owner was first . Thank you , I will try this if I can pick the cat up at some point if they let me if all else fails .
