I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder who runs a Group Setting in SE22 and in addition to space for parking there is a bus stop conveniently located just 2 minutes walk away which is served by the 63 and 363 bus routes two and from Peckham Rye station (6 stops away). The property is also conveniently located for the P12 stop on Brenchley Gardens. Honor Oak Park station is 15 minutes walking distance Peckham Rye Park is 5 minutes walk away.

The entire property is given over to childminding and has the unique advantage of providing a home environment which has all the resources of a larger nursery including a range of play areas, nursery sized tables and chairs, separate cot room, 200ft garden and a 30 sqm purpose-built school room which has been equipped with toys, games and learning resources with all ages and abilities in mind.

A vacancy has arisen for a childminding assistant for four days per week - Mon-Thu, 09.00-5.00 pm. The hourly rate will be determined by the experience and qualifications of the applicant but there is a paid lunchbreak and two week's paid holiday following successful completion of a three month probationary period.

Applicants must have previous experience of working within an early years setting or as a nanny and ideally have an enhanced DBS. An NVQ Level qualification would be desirable but not essential and support can be given to any applicant who wishes to study for an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.

My group setting is a small and friendly (9 children maximum) and you will be working alongside other nursery assistants and there won't be any paperwork as I cover that aspect of the operation as Manager.

    • Ohh dear.  Fireworks can be great fun.  Where I used to live the kids would have firework wars/games.  Watching them was more enjoyable than watching  TV. (Which you could hardly hear due to the pops and bangs).  It's not like anyone/anything could stop them. I would still prefer organised public displays that are affordable.   And I agree that fireworks cause problems for wild life, pets and people.   It seems to be one of those things that just happens so we have to put up with it.  But it is still not as problematic here as in other areas in London - that's for sure.
    • I made sure to set off a few today just to rile you guys up 😇😂 Always looking for something to criticise
    • Ugly...maybe..does it bother me..NO! I think its somehow reassuring to see theres still phoneboxes around. East Dulwich may  be getrified but there may well be some elderly people who don't have mobiles and kids who may have lost theirs adults ditto etc etc. I'd rather keep it than lose it...just because i don't use it does'nt mean its not needed.  there are many eyesores in the modern world not all of them as potentially useful.
    • I strongly recommend Balayage salon in Lordship lane as everytime I visit, they make me feel very spicial with thier profisionalism and care.   I have been going there for the last 10 years maybe more, and will never exchange them for any other. They are profisional, welcoming and they also always have an offer. I feel like a new woman every time. X
