Hi mums and dads,

Nurturing mums and babies has been my passion since 1996 and for the past 27 years I have been working mainly in London but also worldwide, providing top quality newborn Maternity Care, postnatal and sleep support for mothers and their little ones. I’m a twin expert and can help put the babies on simultaneous feed and sleep patterns, this includes breastfed babies. As there is a lot of conflicting advice out there for new parents, I’m here to put your minds at ease by providing accurate and evidence based advice backed by science. My references speak for themselves and I’m happy to share them with you over WhatsApp.

Whether you are only just expecting a new arrival, or already have you very own bundle of joy, and are struggling in some areas, I also offer “Postnatal Troubleshooting” with a special focus on baby’s environment, sleep, feeding and routine. These can either be arranged for home visits or telephone consultations to suit your individual needs.

When you book my postnatal Maternity Nursing services, you will receive the following:

-Daytime postnatal support right after birth for 5-6 weeks, allowing for a more speedy recovery (especially post C-section).

-Umbilical cord care and cleaning.

- Advice on lessening jaundice in your newborn.

- Premature baby care.

-Ensuring baby’s birth weight doesn’t drop below recommended safety levels.

-Creating the perfect environment for baby’s sleep by recreating the 4th trimester.

- Help with eliminating the “witching hour”

- Night feedings, winding and settling.

- Advice on proven-to-work best winding techniques.

- Help with breastfeeding, i.e. making sure there is a good latch, positioning, engorgement issues, increasing milk production etc.

- Advice on bottle/combination feeding.

- Help to gently establish a routine and regular feed and sleep patterns.

- Encouraging healthy sleep habits for your baby from day one.

- Support and guidance with any issues that may arise.

-Bathing your baby including grooming.

-Baby massage and pressure points that help relieve wind.

-Unlimited advice on anything baby and sleep related, including best baby products recommendations.

- Sterilising and preparing bottles.

- Taking care of all nursery duties.

- Your very own “Lucia in your pocket” via WhatsApp, the only A-Z guide you would need for any questions that may arise along the way.

I’m currently still available part time during the daytime and/or for 1-2 nights per week.

Contact me on 07867332132 for more information and hourly rates.

Best wishes,

Lucia x

    • Not sure what you mean by "involved with firework enjoyment"? I'm all for others enjoying themselves, and I like fireworks, but if they were limited to public displays then people could still enjoy them? Having said that, I see that tickets for the London New Year fireworks start at £20 (Dawson's Heights it is,  then!) The fireworks in Brockwell Park used to be free. I don't know why those don't happen any more?
    • Really interesting discussion here. It's difficult to respect the views of people who support Farage, Trump, Musk etc. Why should we, when their views are deplorable. But then that exact 'deplorable' label, as we know, is counterproductive and drives people to double down / switch off to more progressive views. How do you actually help change minds? We're currently spiralling into dark places culturally and politically imo. The amount of open racism, even amongst front line politicians here and in the US is astounding to me. Feels like we're going backwards. The influence of social media and the tech billionaires / bros, is a powerful and largely malignant one. There was an enlightening (and frightening) bit of journalism by Sky this week about Musk's influence on British politics. He has a strange obsession with the UK and London in particular (as do many on the US right wing): https://news.sky.com/story/the-x-effect-how-elon-musk-is-boosting-the-british-right-13464487
    • Looking for any tickets to the Dulwich Hamlets game against St Albans today!
    • I'm going to Paris with friends, staying in the 3rd arrondissement. I used to go a lot but that was ages ago so wondered if anyone has any 'insider tips'? We are interested in small art galleries, independent shops, good value cafes and restaurants that may not feature in all the many online articles or guides, thanks!
