+60 Photo Oyster Card. / Passport

Has anyone here applied for a +60 Oyster Card. It is available to those people who are 60

but do not qualifiy for a Freedom Pass due to the April 2010 dealine.

I have applied but not holding my breath.

They have acknowledged receipt of my ?10.00 admin fee.

TFL have said that my Photograph needs to be approved.

Was wondering how long it might take to come through.

Oyster Card has arrived...

Just need somewhere to go... and some nice weather..

Just sent off for Passport renewal...

Might take a little longer.

My passport took 2 weeks to come back. I was pretty impressed with the speed

Hmmm... had my passport photo done last week and must admit that though I am ten years older the new picture is an improvement on the last one where I looked like Carlos The Jackal.

Yes.. P.O chappie... said 3 Weeks but could be 2 weeks if straight forward..

Hubby has 60 plus oyster card for about a year now. Well worth the ?10 fee. Since hubby was early (medically) retired he does not get any benefits only a very reduced occupational pension and the Oyster card enables him to keep in touch with friends and extended family - probably saves him around ?40 per month.

Passport arrived today (11 Days) so that's not bad.

Is a new e-passport.

Two pics inside. One is clear ? but very faint. Original was fine.

They haven't used the actual photo I sent. It is embedded into the psge with a hologram over it.

Other pic is really grainy and bearly recognizable. More like a graphic.

I'm sure it would of been checked before being sent out.

Anyone else have a new e-passport. Is yours the same. ??

Fear not foxy, it's a security feature. It's called a shadow picture and it's to make it harder to just replace the photo by sticking a new one over it.
