Ooh, new bar/restaurant has opened by Peckham Rye station... Babysitter booked for tomorrow, looking forward to finding out what the food is like. Went past tonight, looked busy

oooh menu looks lovely, nice selection of wine and beers, reasonably priced as well. Plus anywhere that puts radishes on the menu instantly gets my vote... and gremolata....and...and...simpler the better. Bet it all tastes gorgeous.

good luck to them, can't wait to try it out, you lucky people of Peckham having this on your doorstep...

PS hope it stays open late ;-)

I went on Thursday night. Fantastic food (escargot, sicilian aubergines, bavette & bone marrow, duck confit, charcuterie, cheese, pork scratchings, pissaladier), all at very reasonable prices plus a delicious house red that went down much too easily. They open from 7am to late, serving food all day.

Well we went and the food is gorgeous! Not very big but busy. We ate loads.... Favourites the asparagus, bavette with marrow and the burnt cream. Kind of a French version of tapas... Made to share. Will be returning to try their day time food.

  • 1 month later...
Went last night and nearly choked after being charged ?8 for 2 tiny bottles of Kronenbourg. 275ml. Very cycnical pricing. I aked for 2 beers. No other option given. Considering a crate a Kronie costs a tenner I'll stick to my back garden or the more fairly priced Bar Story.

It was hanging on a rail it has a lot of sentimental value and wasn’t being discarded of. Would be very happy to see it come home. If anyone has any information please send a message it was a brownish colour.

If he had any dynamism or big ideas, he wouldn't have to fall back on it time and time again.  Having said that, I do completely understand that big ideas are nigh impossible when he's going to be inheriting problems that are, frankly, beyond any government's ability to fix. Or fix any time soon.  Also, I don't believe for a second that, if one of Starmer's nearest and dearest was critically ill, they wouldn't go private. Anyone who has the means would, if it were a choice between life and death. The public isn't stupid, I just don't think it buys this kind of nonsense. It wants honesty, surely now more than ever.
