Burglary on Goose Green

Just thought it'd be worth letting the community know that we had our shed broken into yesterday. I know that our bicycles have been taken and some tools and possibly other things. I haven't done an inventory yet as the police haven't come to have a look as yet.

Please keep eyes open for a:

Mens Cube Agree GTC bicycle in black and red

Mens Specialized Tricross Elite bicycle in Aluminium

If either come up for sale locally please let me know!

Also please make sure everything you own is bolted to the ground behind heavily locked doors.

Alternatively, why not get a Brompton (or similar) folding bike?

You can keep them indoors at home and at work?

Ach, what a pain, sorry to hear about this

As I live just behind Goose Green, would you mind saying how your shed was/wasn't locked, so I can make sure ours is secure enough?

It was locked only with the lock the shed came with, which admittedly isn't the toughest of security. I've now added a hasp and padlock, maybe a little late but worth doing still. I'm thinking I may even add a second padlock just for peace of mind.

Try brick lane on Sundays - I know 2 people who have found their bikes being sold there after they were stolen - one paid ?50 to get their bike back. Another asked to try his out and rode off on it...
