NEW courses at JAGS Sports Club designed to help you get back into fitness

Recommended Posts

If you'd like to improve your fitness levels but feel a bit intimidated about attending classes or going to the gym, you are not alone!  This is why the team at JAGS Sports Club has formulated five courses for complete beginners and/or those who have had a long hiatus from exercise.

Why do it?

Exercise makes you feel good.  Forget the beach body; exercise gives you energy, strengthens your bones, improves muscle function and clears your head.  Taking part in exercise two to three times a week will really alter the way you feel in your body and mind.

Whats on offer?

There are five courses to choose from in Yoga, Pilates, Gym, CycleFit and Swimming.  Each course is five weeks long and will provide you with the tools to confidently attend classes and/or use the sports club facilities independently.  Please note you will need to be able to swim to take part in the swimming course.

What's the cost?

If you join one of the £25 beginners courses at JAGS Sports Club, we'll give you your first month of membership free.  We'll also waive the joining fee!  Please note, for Family Memberships, you will need to sign up to two beginners courses.

When do the courses take place?

There are courses starting w/c 1st May and 5th June.  When you sign up you can start using the Club immediately, even if it's before your course starts.  Don't forget the Club has a pool, two gyms, classes, a squash court, tennis courts, badminton and ping pong available - so lots to choose from!  Once the courses are full, the offer will no longer be available.

How do I join?

Simply drop us a line on 020 8613 6500 or pop into the Club.  We're on holiday hours until Sunday 23rd April so you can pop in any time between 7am and 9pm this week to speak to someone in person or view the Club.  After this date, we recommend coming to the Club after 6pm on weekdays and after 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

    • They're a fringe party with totally leftfield policies. No one actually wants them in government and by the time of the next general election everyone will see them for who they are.    Their leader even offered a hypnotherapy session to a lady to increase the size of her breasts.  https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/zack-polanski-green-party-hypnotherapy-b2819071.html They are total cranks, just like Reform.
    • What do you base those statements on?
    • I suppose I'd assume that Councillor McCash, who is, as I recall, a self-confessed revolutionary Marxist, had hoped to take Southwark Labour down his chosen route - when he lost his leadership bid he must then have been looking for a party which shared his ultra-left views (ultra-left at least in the light of Starmer's interpretation of socialism). The Greens, for him, clearly fit that role. After that his timing was all about benefiting his chosen (new) party - at least he didn't stand for Labour and then defect giving the Greens an unexpected 3 year seat. As someone who doesn't share the wings of his political position I don't wish him well (politically) - but neither do I wish him ill as a 'punishment' for his defection.
    • Agree with all the sentiments above. Hope it doesn't change too much and above all I really hope it stays independent and avoids becoming the same as all the chain pubs in the area.
