I would like to pass on a recommendation for an excellent builder - Daniel of MyHomeSolution. We worked with Daniel for the last five years on a number of projects in our home; completely gutting and installing two new bathrooms, re-doing a spare bedroom, installing a skylight, creating a bespoke box around an attic staircase, completely gutting and redoing a kitchen/dining room, creating a patio and replacing our roof. We are extremely happy with the work that Daniel and his team performed. They are extremely hard-working and friendly guys. The tiling in the bathroom has been done perfectly - Daniel is a real perfectionist. He also understood that we wanted a clean modern look to the house and reflected this in the work. MyHomeSolution was excellent at recommending certain products or recommending changing the designs we had made. For instance he recommended moving the doorway to one of the bathrooms, or recommended a different shape of shower unit, in each case to maximise space. It is clear that they have experience in this respect and you can trust that they will guide you through the process well. No prior connection with MyHomeSolution, just a very happy client. You can see his work on https://myhomesolution.co.uk and reach him on +44 7916 124206.

I strongly recommend Daniel from Home solutions for any renovation or refurbishment. We have been working with Daniel since 5 years. He has renovated our whole flat (125 m2) which involved putting new woodfloors , plumbing and electricity, creating cupboards everywhere, creating a great laundry space, beautiful radiator covers etc. The following year he renovated completely one of the bathroom and did again a great job even coming to the store to help us chose the right tiles for the project. Daniel is a perfectionist as well as a very nice person to deal with and is alwAys ready to do the extra mile. He protects your house and belongings perfectly during the work. Can't recommend him enough.

We've just had Daniel at My Home Solutions completely renovate our downstairs bathroom (including moving the toilet and sink) and install some bespoke understairs cupboards. From start to finish he did a great job, very easy to work with- full of good suggestions and advice. Price was fair, and the quality of work was excellent- very nice guy to have around the house too (which matters to me if they will be there for a few weeks). will definitely be using him again for a bigger project lined up.

I’d highly recommend Daniel from Myhomesolution. He’s currently refurbishing our cellar and retrofitting a wet room into an existing bathroom, and the quality of his work has been excellent throughout. He’s incredibly neat, pays close attention to detail, and clearly puts a lot of thought into how to achieve the best possible finish. His workmanship is solid, he communicates well, and he takes real pride in getting things right. We’ve been really impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

    • She also suggested that the 2017 Manchester terror attack (perpetrated by an Islamist extremist) was due to "divisiveness" and tried to pin the blame on the far right. Grim, really.
    • Thankfully, it seems that yesterday's "Red vs Blue" school wars thing has turned out to be a hoax/ nonsense/ whatever. (See link below if you managed to avoid this stuff). In years to come, we might found out who - or which countries - has an interest in testing what happens when you post socially disruptive content online about fake events... In the meantime, thank you to our local teachers and other school workers, police community support officers and police officers. My commute happens to take me past a bunch of schools at dropoff/pickup times, and I noticed a much greater and more visible presence on streets outside/near schools than normal. Annoying as it must have been to be distracted from other important duties, I really value and appreciate them looking out for the kids. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/school-wars-trend-red-blue-london-police-latest-142328025.html https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/jan/01/birmingham-new-year-fireworks-display-centenary-square-police

    • a) Because they published a leaflet in Urdu promising to give "Muslims a strong voice". This is reprehensible - just as a party that promised to give Protestants or Jews or Buddhists alone "a strong voice" would be acting in a sectarian manner. Parties - especially socialist ones like the English & Welsh Greens are now - should not be assymetrically promoting the interests of one religious group. b) Because they published a video in Urdu and Bangla criticising Kier Starmer for meeting Narendra Modi, when Modi has nothing to do with the issues discussed. Modi is a Hindu nationalist bigot - but in this context, the Greens are just shitstirring existing tensions between British Hindus and British Muslims for the purpose of trying to win Muslim votes - see the first point. FWIW I don't have any problem with parties communicating with the electorate in languages other than English (from Irish to Polish to Malayalam). What is very suspicious is when parties pump out sectarian messages only in one language... When Mamdani ran for Mayor of NYC (and won) he released plenty of campaign videos in multiple languages - but always with English subtitles too. There was never a suggestion he was sending different, sectarian messages to different groups.     https://uk.news.yahoo.com/why-greens-made-advert-urdu-164616073.html https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/uk/uk-green-party-accused-of-sectarianism-after-releasing-videos-in-urdu-and-bangla-featuring-pm-modi-and-gaza/articleshow/128826689.cms
