I would like to pass on a recommendation for an excellent builder - Daniel of MyHomeSolution. We worked with Daniel for the last five years on a number of projects in our home; completely gutting and installing two new bathrooms, re-doing a spare bedroom, installing a skylight, creating a bespoke box around an attic staircase, completely gutting and redoing a kitchen/dining room, creating a patio and replacing our roof. We are extremely happy with the work that Daniel and his team performed. They are extremely hard-working and friendly guys. The tiling in the bathroom has been done perfectly - Daniel is a real perfectionist. He also understood that we wanted a clean modern look to the house and reflected this in the work. MyHomeSolution was excellent at recommending certain products or recommending changing the designs we had made. For instance he recommended moving the doorway to one of the bathrooms, or recommended a different shape of shower unit, in each case to maximise space. It is clear that they have experience in this respect and you can trust that they will guide you through the process well. No prior connection with MyHomeSolution, just a very happy client. You can see his work on https://myhomesolution.co.uk and reach him on +44 7916 124206.

I strongly recommend Daniel from Home solutions for any renovation or refurbishment. We have been working with Daniel since 5 years. He has renovated our whole flat (125 m2) which involved putting new woodfloors , plumbing and electricity, creating cupboards everywhere, creating a great laundry space, beautiful radiator covers etc. The following year he renovated completely one of the bathroom and did again a great job even coming to the store to help us chose the right tiles for the project. Daniel is a perfectionist as well as a very nice person to deal with and is alwAys ready to do the extra mile. He protects your house and belongings perfectly during the work. Can't recommend him enough.

We've just had Daniel at My Home Solutions completely renovate our downstairs bathroom (including moving the toilet and sink) and install some bespoke understairs cupboards. From start to finish he did a great job, very easy to work with- full of good suggestions and advice. Price was fair, and the quality of work was excellent- very nice guy to have around the house too (which matters to me if they will be there for a few weeks). will definitely be using him again for a bigger project lined up.

I do think low intelligence likely played a role here. People who aren’t taught to value life, whether human or natural, often end up reacting with hostility to the things they don’t understand or appreciate. It’s a sad reflection of both neglect and ignorance. Your suggestion of rehabilitation through something like woodland conservation or sapling planting is actually a lovely and meaningful idea. Let’s hope something good can come of their sentence, though I won’t be holding my breath. Looking forward to meeting you in person at the Forum drinks tonight, and fingers crossed Jasonlondon makes it too. His terrible neighbours really are quite the story.
    • Direct link to livestream of closing ceremony and joint statement:  Today, the conference comes to a close with a joint statement — a historic declaration of collective action in defence of international law and human dignity. At 10:30 Bogotá, 11:30 New York, 16:30 London, 17:30 Paris, 21:00 New Delhi, join the closing ceremony live from the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony will feature Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia; Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories; Zane Dangor, Director General of South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation; Varsha Gandikota-Nellutla, Executive Secretary of The Hague Group; and Fillemon Wise Immanuel, Minister of Justice and Labour Relations of Namibia. The centrepiece of the ceremony will be the reading of the Joint Statement — the result of deliberation among participating governments. This statement will echo far beyond Bogotá. It marks a turning point in the global campaign to hold Israel accountable, protect the Palestinian people, and restore the rule of international law. Join us to witness this historic moment. In solidarity, The Progressive International Secretariat
    • We had the roof on our Victorian terrace replaced in 2023 and were charged just under £12,000, which included new slates, battens, breathable membrane, leadwork, and scaffolding. The cost was mainly due to the complexity of working on an older property and ensuring everything met current building standards.
