@malumbu And what part of my  message is "unsubstantiated"?

You quoted Tommies as objecting to a bike lane as they presumably considered it unsafe.  By quoting them you are effectively agreeing with their position at the time.

Having cycled past Tommies scores of times I was neither aware that it was considered unsafe, nor did I see any reason for this.

If you are going to quote other people and organisations you need to tell us why they are correct.

I clearly am not calling you juvenille as I am sure you are aware.

Which is awful. But London has become a lawless Gotham city on Labour watch.

And if you are an American millioner you can do no wrong - re: Lime & Co

Rather a sweeping statement about London being lawless.  Sort of thing that Trump and Musk would say about Khan

No idea who "Must" is.

And it was fun -  and very important to me -  to be part of  the anti Trump demo.

Looking forward to next one 🙂

Well start a thread on floating bus stops.  It feels me with no joy that some road users are dangerous.  But this continued barrage against cyclists gets on my wick (to use polite language).

I don't endanger pedestrians and nor do any of the numerous cyclists that I know.  I similarly would not drive in a way that endangers pedestrians,

Here's a bit of reading.

Worth reporting to Lime, they’re very quick to respond.

Done a lot. It get worst and worst am afraid. Lime and other ebike companies dump their bikes anywhere they want

It looks like as the supply overtake the demand 🤔

"they're very quick to respond" - meaning what exactly?

Moving ebike from location  A to location B?

Saw one the other day, left smack bang in the middle of a pavement.

How is that even allowed to happen when a photo is needed to be submitted when it's left.  They are a damn nuisance.

So did I. It was impossible to pass it without walking into the road.

The newly paved, 'landscaped' and pedestrianised end of Melbourne Grove North, looks set to be a Lime Bike and Scooter pick up point. I wonder how much of the 'vital for safety' expanded pedestrian movement area will actually be given over to or even blocked by electric vehicles. Is this anything to do with the huge student accommodation development at Railway Rise?

    • I didn't say anything was "a fact". I said it was "hardly likely" 🙄 Do you seriously think someone would go out of their way to harm or kill an unusual animal? Even assuming they ever actually saw it? And then you deleted your post. Did you not want people to see what you had said?
    • If people were diligent about not leaving food items out where it is accessible, then we wouldn't have as big a fox problem. Foxes raid trash bins for food and leave rubbish strewn on the pavement.  Other European cities have strict rules on disposal of edibles and they dont have a fox problem
    • You keep insisting that you're "just stating facts", but so far, most of what you've shared isn't fact - it's just your personal opinion, framed with hostility.  Foxes aren't classified as "vermin" in the UK. They're wild animals protected under the Animal Welfare Act & the Wildlife & Countryside Act . & Yes, they do play a vital role in controlling rodent population. The more you double down on insults & misinformation, the more you discredit your own argument. It's possible to be fed up & still informed. Take the information provided to you & do something about it. BTW culling doesn't even work.
